Alessandro Bisagni, Founder and President of BEE Incorporations, was recently published in an article titled “Big data and machine learning: what they mean for greener space operation” in the technology and data focused 5th Volume of ItalianCham Magazine. The article showcases the role of indoor environmental quality data management and analytics systems Arc and QLEAR in the utilization of Big Data for the optimization of businesses’ environmental performance. The article spotlights Prada as a case study that highlights how it achieved Gold Level for world’s first LEED Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for Interiors for retail project at its Alexandra House store in Central Hong Kong. Prada’s store uses the cloud-based sustainability data management platform Arc to promote data transparency and improve its environmental performance. In conjunction with Arc, QLEAR provides indoor environmental monitoring solutions by analyzing indoor air quality data and displaying to the user where improvements can be made. These emerging data management technologies represent industry’s shift from simply collecting data to Machine Learning which is critical in the future of data monitoring to create greener, more sustainable business operations.
