About the project

This project from Alexander McQueen is targeting a LEED v4 ID+C Gold certification. It is found inside the high profile mixed-purpose building Shanghai ITC, owned by Sun Kung Kai Properties and located at the well-recognized Xujiahui district area in Shanghai, China. BEE worked closely with Alexander McQueen to achieve some remarkable sustainable features in the 229m2 retail store, including:

Implementation of energy-efficient LED light fixtures throughout the store with a >90 CRI (Color Rendering Index)
70 percent of the equipment and appliances of the store meet the ENERGY STAR standard
Applying aesthetically pleasing elements using scientifically proven biophilia design elements (butterfly, morpho and beetle panels) to help staff and customers relieve stress and mental fatigue
Implementation of an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Management Plan during the construction phase
Use of QLEAR, an advanced cloud-based indoor and outdoor environmental quality management and analytics system
