Southeast Asia’s green building market is expanding faster than its certified project pipeline. Closing that gap means translating international standards into local practice, a conversation BEE will join at ALACE EXPO ’26 in Vientiane, Laos.
BEE’s Sopharith has been invited to sit on Focused Talk 01: Green Living: “Policy, Practice, and Innovation.” The session brings together practitioners and policymakers to discuss how green building standards such as EDGE and LEED move from framework to finished buildings.
Sopharith will share practical experience from BEE’s regional project work, covering the design decisions, verification steps, and local adaptations that make certification achievable in emerging markets.
“Green building standards only matter when they are implemented,” Sopharith said. “I look forward to exchanging practical experiences with peers in Laos and across Southeast Asia, and to showing how standards like EDGE and LEED can work in local contexts.”
ALACE EXPO ’26 gathers regional voices around sustainable construction, renewable energy, and green living in Vientiane. BEE’s participation reflects the company’s continued investment in Southeast Asian markets and its focus on technical capacity-building alongside project delivery.
